Haven Foods is truly Your Seafood Sanctuary.RoleWe are seeking a reliable, organized, hands-on hourly team member based in the Charleston, SC area to support seafood sample preparation, shipment coordination, and logistics assistance. This role is critical to supporting customer sample requests, sales initiatives, product development, and operational coordination.The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, responsive, comfortable handling frozen products, and has adequate space to house a large freezer for temporary sample storage and staging.Key ResponsibilitiesSample Preparation & ShippingReceive, organize, and maintain frozen seafood samplesStore samples appropriately in dedicated freezer spacePrepare customer sample packs based on instructionsAssemble shipping materials, labels, and documentationCoordinate FedEx/UPS shipments and track deliveriesEnsure samples are packed professionally and maintain cold-chain integrityMaintain inventory of sample products and shipping suppliesAssist with urgent or same-day sample requests when neededLogistics & Operational SupportSupport coordination of inbound and outbound shipmentsAssist with shipment tracking and logistics follow-upCommunicate shipment updates internallyHelp organize logistics records, tracking files, and inventory logsAssist with miscellaneous operational and administrative tasks as neededRequirementsBased in or near Charleston, South CarolinaMust have space and ability to accommodate a large freezer for sample storageReliable transportation and ability to transport samples to shipping locations if neededComfortable handling frozen seafood productsStrong organizational skills and attention to detailAbility to manage multiple priorities and respond quickly to requestsBasic computer skills (email, spreadsheets, shipment portals, tracking systems)Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionallyPreferred QualificationsExperience in logistics, warehouse operations, food distribution, or shipping coordinationExperience with FedEx, UPS, or freight shipment coordinationFamiliarity with cold-chain handling practicesExperience supporting sales samples or food product fulfillmentSchedule & CompensationHourly positionFlexible schedule based on business needs and sample activityOpportunity for expanded responsibilities over timeCompensation commensurate with experienceIdeal Candidate TraitsHighly dependable and responsiveStrong sense of urgencyPractical problem solverOrganized and process-orientedAble to work independently with minimal supervisionComfortable in a fast-paced startup-style environment
