Commercial Director (US Market launch) - AI startup
We are partnering with a high-growth, VC-backed AI SaaS company that is expanding into North America. This is a first commercial hire in the region - a true market-launch role with full ownership of enterprise sales across the US, focused on the Banking, Financial Services & Insurance (BFSI) sector.You will:Build and execute the North America go-to-market strategyIdentify and break into tier-1 BFSI accountsGenerate your own pipeline through outbound and network-led approachesLead end-to-end enterprise sales cycles (prospecting → close)Engage senior stakeholders across business, technology, and compliance functionsConvert initial wins into multi-year enterprise partnershipsWork directly with founders on strategy, positioning, and deal executionDeal EnvironmentEnterprise SaaS / AI productSelling into highly regulated financial institutionsMulti-stakeholder, consultative sales cyclesTypical deal sizes: mid–high six figures ARR (and growing)This role is for someone who thrives in ambiguity, ownership, and zero-to-one environments:7-15+ years of enterprise sales experienceA track record of closing complex 6-7 figure dealsEnterprise SaaS / AI / data / analytics sales into BFSIProven ability to generate pipeline independently (not reliant on inbound)Experience carrying $1M+ annual quotasA highly resourceful, self-directed approach to building markets
