Lead Technician / Programmer
O’Cull Electric is seeking a high-level Access Control and Surveillance Programmer / Technician for immediate hire. The ideal candidate will have proven experience programming complex access control and surveillance systems, including advanced integrations between VMS and access control platforms. Priority experience includes Software House CCURE 9000, Victor VMS, and ExacqVision.
This position serves in a field-level leadership role with supervisory responsibilities over installation crews to ensure systems are ready for programming, commissioning, and turnover.
Compensation:
Pay is commensurate with experience
Bonus opportunities for completing projects ahead of schedule and/or under budget
Primary Responsibilities:
Program, maintain, and repair low voltage systems, including access control, video surveillance, fire alarm, and intrusion systems
Lead programming efforts for integrated systems such as Access Control, VMS, Intercom, A/V, and intrusion systems—from basic setups to highly complex integrations
Perform comprehensive system testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting
Supervise field installation teams to ensure proper infrastructure for system commissioning
Coordinate with clients to assess needs, recommend solutions, and execute upgrades or improvements
Provide technical support and end-user training
Interpret and follow wiring diagrams, blueprints, and system schematics
Stay current with industry trends, certifications, and technologies through continuing education and manufacturer training
Qualifications & Requirements:
Minimum 3+ years of experience in installation and programming of:
Access Control Systems
Video Surveillance Systems
Intrusion Detection and/or Integrated A/V Systems
Required: Factory Programming Certification in one or more of the following platforms:
Software House (CCURE 9000)

ExacqVision
Victor VMS
Salient CompleteView
DSC
Salto
Talkaphone
Bosch
Hanwha Wave VMS
RTI
Q-SYS
Strong understanding of low voltage system principles and cabling standards
Proficient with hand tools, power tools, and networking equipment
Excellent mechanical aptitude and system-level troubleshooting skills
Ability to work independently and lead small teams in the field
