We focus on elite skill development, competitive play, mentorship, and character building to help players reach their full potential through basketball.Position OverviewElevate Hoops NYC is seeking a passionate and reliable Part-Time AAU Basketball Coach to lead and develop youth teams. The ideal candidate has strong basketball knowledge, prior coaching or playing experience, and a commitment to mentoring young athletes in a positive and disciplined environment.Key ResponsibilitiesPlan and lead structured, high-energy practices focused on skill development, teamwork, and game IQCoach AAU teams during local and regional tournamentsDevelop game strategies and make in-game adjustmentsFoster a positive, inclusive, and competitive team cultureCommunicate effectively with players, parents, and program leadershipTrack player progress and provide constructive feedbackEnsure player safety and uphold program standards at all timesQualificationsPrior basketball coaching and/or competitive playing experience (high school, college, or AAU preferred)Strong understanding of basketball fundamentals and game strategyAbility to motivate and mentor youth athletes (ages vary by team)Excellent communication and leadership skillsReliable, punctual, and organizedAvailability for evening practices and weekend tournamentsCPR/First Aid certification (preferred but not required)CompensationCompetitive hourly or stipend-based pay (commensurate with experience)Opportunities for growth within the organizationSchedulePractices: Weekday eveningsGames/Tournaments: Weekends (some travel may be required)How to ApplyInterested candidates should submit a resume and a brief statement of coaching philosophy and experience.Join UsBe part of a program that’s committed to developing not just better athletes—but better individuals that will be the future of society
