Title: Electrical Commissioning LeadLocation: Reno, NV areaDuration: 12+ month contractPay Range: $70-$85/hour, OT after 40Per Diem: ProvidedStart Date: ASAP Summary: We are seeking experienced Electrical Commissioning Lead to support commissioning, energization readiness, and startup activities on a large-scale construction project. This role will serve as the electrical subject matter expert for MV/LV distribution systems, electrical equipment readiness, energization oversight, and field coordination during startup and testing. The ideal candidate will have strong electrical commissioning experience, a solid understanding of power distribution systems, and the ability to coordinate across QA/QC, testing firms, vendors, trade partners, commissioning teams, and project stakeholders. Responsibilities:Serve as the electrical commissioning lead for MV/LV distribution and power system readiness.Support pre-functional verification and equipment readiness reviews.Verify installed electrical equipment matches approved submittals and project requirements.Review torque verification, insulation resistance testing, and electrical test documentation with QA/QC.Confirm required testing documentation has been submitted, reviewed, and accepted before startup or energization.Validate readiness of switchgear, transformers, electrical lineups, ATS units, load centers, panelboards, and generators.Confirm vendor pre-energization checks are complete and aligned with project requirements.Perform field walks with QA/QC and commissioning stakeholders to verify readiness.Create and track commissioning issues for unresolved deficiencies.Support issue resolution and verify closeout in the commissioning documentation system.Provide final electrical readiness verification before equipment energization.Validate phasing, voltage checks, protective settings, and energization sequence compliance.Verify vendor startup checklists and communicate issues that could impact startup completion.Coordinate with mechanical and controls stakeholders to confirm related startup requirements are complete.Provide field coordination with commissioning agents, vendors, trade partners, and project teams during later-stage testing.Support field verification, schedule changes, and issue resolution during commissioning and startup.Qualifications:Electrical commissioning experience on large-scale industrial, mission-critical, manufacturing, or similar complex construction projects.Strong understanding of MV/LV electrical distribution systems.Experience with switchgear, transformers, ATS units, generators, panelboards, load centers, and electrical distribution equipment.Experience supporting pre-functional verification, energization readiness, startup, and turnover.Familiarity with electrical testing documentation, insulation resistance testing, torque verification, phasing, voltage checks, and protective settings.Ability to review documentation and confirm readiness for energization.Experience coordinating with QA/QC, testing firms, vendors, trade partners, commissioning teams, and project stakeholders.Experience using CxAlloy or a similar commissioning/documentation platform is preferred.Strong field coordination, communication, and issue resolution skills.Preferred Qualifications:Prior mission-critical or data center commissioning experience.Experience supporting structured commissioning processes from early verification through final testing.Familiarity with protective device coordination and energization procedures.Experience coordinating electrical readiness with mechanical and controls startup requirements.FootBridge is an equal opportunity employer committed to an inclusive environment where everyone is valued and respected.
