Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Java Developer to join our dynamic development team. Duties Lead the development of high-quality Java applications, ensuring adherence to best practices in software design and system architecture. Collaborate with product managers, UI/UX designers, and other stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions. Architect and implement RESTful APIs and web services to facilitate seamless integration across distributed systems. Oversee code reviews, enforce coding standards, and promote continuous improvement through Agile methodologies. Develop and maintain backend systems utilizing Java frameworks such as Spring Boot, Hibernate (Entity Framework equivalent), and WCF. Design database schemas and optimize queries for relational databases like Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, and NoSQL options such as MongoDB. Implement automated testing strategies including unit testing, integration testing, and CI/CD pipelines to ensure robust deployment cycles. Mentor junior developers on system design principles, multithreading techniques, version control practices (Git, SVN), and debugging methodologies. Ensure application scalability by leveraging cloud infrastructure services such as AWS or Azure for deployment. Participate in system design discussions using UML diagrams; contribute to documentation including XSLT transformations and UML models. Maintain high standards of security, performance tuning, and compliance with SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) processes. Qualifications Proven experience as a Lead Java Developer or similar senior role with a minimum of five years in software engineering. Extensive knowledge of Java programming language along with frameworks such as Spring MVC/Boot, React Express for full-stack capabilities. Strong understanding of front-end development including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, ReactJS, Bootstrap for UI integration. Proficiency in developing RESTful APIs using REST principles; experience with SOAP-based web services is a plus. Hands-on experience with distributed systems architecture, cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure), and microservices design. Familiarity with database design principles for relational databases (SQL T-SQL) as well as NoSQL databases like MongoDB. Expertise in version control tools such as GitHub or TFS; familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins or Azure DevOps. Knowledge of Agile software development methodologies; experience working within Scrum or Kanban frameworks. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to debug complex issues efficiently across multiple environments. Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively across diverse teams globally.
