About the roleBooming Games is looking for a skilled and motivated PostgreSQL Developer to join our Data Lakehouse team. You'll work on a high-throughput, rapidly growing platform that powers analytics, operations, and product development across the company. This is a hands-on engineering role that blends structured data modeling with creative problem solving and a strong sense of ownership.We don’t just maintain a database—we build a scalable, version-controlled, and fully automated platform that supports over 25TB of new data annually. If you enjoy working on clean architecture, well-structured code, and contributing to real product decisions, this is the place for you.ResponsibilitiesDesign and evolve relational data models and database architectureWrite performant, maintainable PL/pgSQL code to power business logic and data flowsContribute to refactoring and optimization of existing DB structures and processesCollaborate closely with BI, backend, and product teams to shape how our applications workImplement automated tests and CI/CD pipelines for database developmentHelp design solutions that extend beyond traditional RDBMS boundariesRequirements4+ years of experience in relational database development (PostgreSQL preferred)Strong knowledge of SQL and PL/pgSQLExperience with version control (Git) and modern dev workflowsGood understanding of database performance and storage optimizationWorking knowledge of Linux environmentBonus points for scripting skills (Bash, Python)Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI/CD is a plus)Experience with Docker and microservices is a strong plusFluent communicating in English (written & spoken)Good to knowWe kindly ask for your understanding that we can primarily consider applicants with the relevant experience for this role.Ideally located in PragueWhy Work for Booming GamesFounder led.
