LPN or CMA | Stearns County Corrections
Find your purpose and join the CentraCare team as an LPN or CMA. We're seeking a casual LPN or CMA to provide medical care for incarcerated individuals at the Stearns County jail in St Cloud, MN. This LPN or CMA will be a member of a multi-disciplinary team that provides medical services for inmates within the jail. Inmates may need mental health care, addiction medicine services (including detoxification), basic care for general or acute illnesses or injuries, maternity care, medication management and much more.
Hiring Bonus: $2,500 for LPN and $2,000 for CMA!
Schedule Options:
Casual 16 hours every four weeks
32-48 hours per 2-week pay period, 12:30 p.m. to 10 p.m., every third weekend, and rotating holidays.
32-48 hours per 2-week pay period, 12:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. and/or 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. (med pass), every third weekend, and rotating holidays.
32-48 hours per 2-week pay period, days 7 a.m.to 3:30 p.m. and evenings 12:30 p.m. to 10 p.m., every third weekend, and rotating holidays.
80 hours per 2-week pay period, 12:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. and/or 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. (med pass), every third weekend, and rotating holidays.

Education and Licensure:
Licensed Practical Nurse
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required.
Current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the State of Minnesota required.
or
Medical Assistant
Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
Current Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) with one of the following:
American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA)
American Medical Technologists (AMT)
Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA)
National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT)
National Healthcareer Association (NHA)
National Association for Health Professionals, Nationally Registered Certified Medical Assistant (NRCMA)
Nationally Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA)
Must provide proof of pass notification prior to start with verification of official certification or registration within 3 months of exam date.
Other Requirements:
Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS Healthcare Provider card required per established policy.
Ability to understand patients’ medical records, physician orders and medication orders to be communicated to the patient and staff.
BCA and county background check required.
