Korn Ferry is partnering with our client on their search for a Financial Reporting Manager.Company Overview:Our client is a well-established investment and operating organization that manages a diversified portfolio of businesses across industries such as energy, real estate, and private equity investmentsThe company operates from a centralized corporate office where finance and accounting teams support multiple portfolio companies and investment entitiesThe organization is known for its collaborative culture, long-term stability, and strong commitment to employee engagement and professional developmentThe leadership team places a strong emphasis on teamwork, diversity, and creating an environment where employees feel valued, supported, and empowered to growRole Summary:Title: Financial Reporting ManagerDepartment: Growth Fund Accounting & FinanceLocation: Durango, Colorado or Denver, ColoradoPrimary Focus: Serve as a technical accounting and financial reporting expert supporting complex accounting matters, audit processes, and financial reporting across the Growth Fund and its portfolio entitiesKey Responsibilities:Support the preparation and review of financial statements, disclosures, and footnotes across multiple entities and reporting cyclesMonitor and evaluate new FASB accounting pronouncements and determine their impact on Growth Fund companies and financial reporting practicesPerform technical accounting research and prepare accounting memos documenting the application of GAAP to complex transactionsAssist in the management and coordination of annual external and internal audits, ensuring proper accounting treatments and disclosure requirements are followedSupport monthly and quarterly close processes including review of financial reports and analysis of reporting outputsAssist with the preparation and integration of Growth Fund financial information into the Tribe’s consolidated financial statementsDevelop and maintain accounting policies and governance documentation across Growth Fund entitiesProvide guidance to management and portfolio entities on complex accounting issues and policy interpretationAssist with training initiatives and presentations for accounting teams on technical accounting topicsSupport special projects and reporting initiatives as requested by finance leadershipIdeal Candidate Profile:CPA certification preferredStrong technical accounting and financial reporting background with deep knowledge of GAAP and FASB standardsExperience preparing or auditing financial statements and managing audit processesAbility to research, document, and communicate complex accounting issues clearlyExperience working with multiple audit reports and coordinating with auditorsStrong analytical, writing, and communication skillsAbility to work independently while managing multiple prioritiesExperience with ERP systems such as PeopleSoft or similar platforms preferredIndustry exposure to oil & gas, real estate, or private equity is beneficial but not requiredCompensation & Benefits:Target base compensation range: $135K–$145KAnnual discretionary bonus based on performance review (historically paid each year)High performer bonuses typically range 25%–30%Long Term Incentive Plan (LTIP) for high performers with stacked long-term incentive payouts4% 401(k) match plus discretionary 6% profit sharing contributionTop-tier medical and benefits packageAnnual performance review process with merit increases typically ranging 3%–5%Relocation candidates considered with potential $10K–$20K sign-on bonusHybrid schedule with 3 days in office depending on team structure.9/80 work schedule with every other Friday off.Generous PTO including all federal holidays and additional tribal holidaysSelling PointsHighly technical accounting role focused on financial reporting, accounting research, and GAAP/FASB interpretationOpportunity to work across a diversified portfolio of companies and investmentsStrong compensation structure with significant bonus potential and long-term incentivesHighly collaborative team environment with strong employee appreciation and retention cultureSupportive corporate office culture that emphasizes teamwork, employee engagement, and professional developmentDiverse workplace where employees build close working relationships and support each other’s successIndependent role suited for a technically strong accounting professional seeking strategic impact within a unique investment platformSE# 510790058
