We also have available overtime.Sign-On Bonus: Receive a $1000 sign-on bonus when you join our team!Position OverviewThe Instrumentation Technician is responsible for the testing, calibration, installation, repair, and inspection of manufacturing control and monitoring devices. This role supports continuous improvement by ensuring accurate measurement systems and reliable instrumentation across operations.Essential Job FunctionsCalibrate all equipment under the responsibility of the Instrumentation Department, maintaining calibration schedules and accurate records in accordance with company proceduresCoordinate and oversee outside calibration vendors, including purchase order accuracy, customer requirement flow-down, and verification of completed workPerform periodic calibration of secondary standards traceable to NIST, documenting results per company standardsInterpret and analyze instrumentation abnormalities, correct deviations, and perform necessary repairsSupport Maintenance with troubleshooting of complex electrical systems, motor drives, hydraulic controls, rectifiers, power supplies, and water-cooling systemsMaintain leak detectors and assist with leak checking when Production or Maintenance requires supportInstall new instrumentation or modify existing equipment as directed by Facilities Engineering and/or MaintenanceLayout and construct electronic circuits using schematics, making modifications as needed to ensure proper functionalityTroubleshoot electronic, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipmentMaintain working knowledge of computers and programmable logic controllers (PLCs), including loading and verifying programsTrain and assist employees on the use and operation of new instruments and control equipmentPerform additional duties as assigned by supervisionEducation/ExperienceAssociate Degree (A.A.) from a two-year college or technical school OROne year of related experience and/or training in a manufacturing environment OREquivalent combination of education and experienceExperience in manufacturing, foundry, metal casting, and/or vacuum processing environments is a huge plusSkills & AbilitiesStrong mechanical aptitude and ability to read blueprintsSolid foundation in mathematics and measurement conceptsStrong problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skillsProficiency with computers and software (GagePack, Microsoft Office, maintenance systems)Clear written and verbal communication skillsSound judgment and decision-making abilityIf you're ready to be part of a forward-thinking team and grow with us, we'd love to hear from you!
