Position: Automation EngineerLocation: Liberty, North Carolina6-12 Month Contract to HirePay Rate: $45-$58 Hourly Based on Experience Looking to HIRE RIGHT AWAY!!!Job SummaryInsight Global is seeking an Automation Engineer to support the Production Engineering team at a large-scale battery manufacturing facility in Liberty, North Carolina. This role will play a critical part in supporting the launch and expansion of one of the world’s largest battery manufacturing plants. The Automation Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the reliable operation, integration, and continuous improvement of electrical and automation systems within a high-volume production environment.Key ResponsibilitiesTest, troubleshoot, and repair electrical equipment and systems, including circuits, relay logic, wiring, motors, and servo drivesProgram, modify, troubleshoot, and repair PLCs, robotics, vision systems, and other automated equipmentTroubleshoot and repair safety systems, machine components, and hydraulic and pneumatic systemsPlan and execute machine and automation integration into mass productionCreate and maintain accurate documentation, including work records and project schedulesCollaborate closely with engineers, technicians, and cross-functional team membersDrive continuous improvement in safety, quality, and productivityRequired Skills & Experience5+ years of experience reading, writing, and modifying PLC programsHands-on experience with electrical and/or mechanical systems in an industrial manufacturing environmentStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsNice to Have Skills & ExperienceAssociate degree or higher, or equivalent practical experienceExperience supporting new plant or facility startupsExperience working in high-volume production environments, preferably clean room settings
