Mobile Market Manager
Summary/ObjectiveWe are looking for an experienced mobile technician or market manager who is looking to help build the mobile division of this company from the ground up. You will work directly with the CEO and DFW Calibration Center Manager to grow the mobile services department. In the beginning, you will work as the technician to start the area but once we have grown, you will be responsible for the hiring and training of all new technicians and overseeing the operational quality of the team. We pride ourselves on being the company that says “Give us the vehicle no one else can figure out” and be able to repair that vehicle with our expertise and no-quit attitude.Essential functionsReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions.Serve as primary client contact as needed.Traveling to clients' locations to perform services on a variety of vehicles.Diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues accurately and efficiently.Repairing or replacing defective parts and components, including airbags and electrical systems.Utilize various OEM tools and diagnostic equipment to make the most effective recommendations for repairs and calibrations on multiple makes and models.Prepare report paperwork for customers using established standards.Read and understand measurements in both standard and metric units.Act as a subject matter expert and adequately explain technical diagnoses and needed repairs to individuals on a consistent basis.Evaluate information and data to provide comprehensive interpretation of technical information, electrical components, and Advanced Safety Systems (ADAS).Continuously learn new technical information and techniques in e-learning or other training sessions to stay well-informed with rapidly changing automotive technology.Keep all certifications current and obtain new certifications as needed.Responsible for driving customer and company vehicles safely.Utilize understanding of the structure and practices of various types of repair facilities, body shops, insurance carriers to facilitate effective working relationships.Develop and train new technicians.Ensure company standards are being met and spot check technicians to monitor quality.Adhere to all company policy, procedure, safety and environmental rules.Other Duties: Please note this job description is not designed to cover all possible activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job. Duties, responsibilities, and activities may change at any time with or without notice.Minimum Qualifications:5-7 years of mobile technician experience OR experience in a similar, related position.OEM scan tool and aftermarket scan tool experience and knowledge.Proficient in diagnostics of faults, error messages and modules.Strong automotive mechanical and electrical diagnosis, problem-solving and repair experienceProficient understanding of automotive industry and various manufacturer acronyms and lingoCurrent, valid driver’s license and satisfactory Motor Vehicle Report (MVR)Basic computer skills and understanding of Microsoft Office.Preferred Qualifications:10+ years of experience as a mobile technician or body shop internal mechanic.Excellent written communication skillsCertifications: ASE, I-Car, MECP, OEMHighly motivated, self-sufficient mentality.3+ years of supervisory experience.1+ year of internal sales experience.Pay Structure and Operation Hours:· Monday-Friday 8am-6pm· Weekly Pay every Friday via direct deposit.· Salary starts at $85,000 per year based on experience.Supervisory responsibilitiesThis role has supervisory responsibilitiesWork environmentThis job operates around an automotive repair/ collision repair shop environments that may be cold, hot, noisy, and wet and may have fumes or odors due to vehicle operations.Physical demandsMust be able to lift up to 50 pounds independently; majority of lifting from knee to shoulder heights; other lifting required from various levels.Must be able to carry and transport up to 50 pounds up to 20 feet.Requires standing for extended period with frequent stretching, reaching, walking and stooping, pushing and/or pulling in an environment that may be cold, hot, noisy, and wet and may have fumes or odors due to vehicle maintenance.Requires excellent visual acuity and manual dexterity.Requires use of safety equipment that may include but not limited to face shield or goggles, non-slip shoes, gloves, mask, and other protective garments and equipment.Requires frequent driving and some typing.
