🚀 Senior Backend / Full-Stack Engineer (Engineer III)🏦 Fintech Platform — Commercial Banking Automation## 📌 Role Overview💼 Level: Senior-Level (Engineer III)📍 Industry: Fintech / Commercial Banking / SaaS🎯 Core Mission: Our client is building a state-of-the-art platform that enables financial institutions to transition commercial banking relationships by automating complex account switching across receivables (AR), payables (AP), and payroll systems.As an Engineer III, you will own and evolve core backend systems, operate in production environments, and make sound architectural decisions with minimal oversight. You will design, build, and scale backend systems that power critical financial workflows end-to-end—from architecture through production.## ⚡ What You’ll Do🛠️ Architecture & Development: Design and build scalable backend services, robust APIs, and lead technical design for complex features and platform enhancements.📈 Scaling & Performance: Improve system performance, scalability, and fault tolerance while identifying and resolving bottlenecks across application, database, and infrastructure layers.🛡️ Production Ownership: Debug production issues, lead root cause analysis with permanent fixes, and implement monitoring, logging, and alerting for 24x7 production systems.🔄 DevOps & Observability: Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, deployment processes, and system observability.🔌 Integrations & Innovation: Support seamless integrations with external financial systems and contribute to AI/LLM-enabled workflow enhancements where applicable.👥 Leadership: Mentor junior engineers and elevate engineering standards across the team.## ⚙️ Technical Requirements🐍 Backend Mastery: Strong experience building and operating backend systems in production environments, with hands-on experience in Python-based development.☁️ Cloud Infrastructure: Proven experience working with AWS (compute, storage, and networking layers).🗄️ Database Management: Proficient with relational and/or NoSQL databases, including designing/maintaining application-level database schemas and optimizing indexing/data access patterns.📡 API Design: Expert-level experience designing and developing highly scalable APIs.🔄 CI/CD & Observability: Familiarity with modern CI/CD pipelines, deployment practices, and monitoring/logging tools.## 🎓 Qualifications & Experience⏳ Experience: 8+ years of professional backend software engineering experience.🧰 Tech Stack Familiarity: Experience or a strong plus with Full-Stack development (Python/Django + React/TypeScript).💳 Domain Background: Proven background in fintech, payments, banking, or SaaS platforms operating in highly regulated environments (PCI, SOC2, etc.).🌐 API Architecture: Deep exposure to API-led architecture (REST, JSON; SOAP/XML is a plus).🧠 Problem Solver: A proven track record of making sound technical decisions and resolving complex production issues independently.⚠️ Note: This role focuses heavily on application performance, scalability, and reliability.
