OverviewWe are seeking a full-time Printed Circuit Board Designer 1 at Garmin's U.S. headquarters in the Greater Kansas City area or our office in Salem, OR. In this role, you will be responsible for creating well-defined moderately complex Printed Circuit Board (PCB) designs based on schematics and input from Design Engineers.Essential FunctionsPartner with Product Design Engineers and Mechanical Engineers to produce moderately complex PCB DesignsProvide feedback to Design Engineers as needed to ensure manufacturability is maintained in each designSuggest options when faced with challenging PCB Design situationsAttend engineering design reviews and act on decisions made therePlan technical work and estimate completion times for PCB designsServe as a mentor to PCB Design Assistant as neededDemonstrate full understanding and use of Garmin design standards and proceduresUtilize a basic knowledge of PCB manufacturing processesMaintain a sense of urgency, commitment, and focus on the right priorities in each PCB DesignPerform eCAD librarian duties as neededBasic QualificationsAssociate’s Degree in Electronics Technology or related field OR a minimum of 2 years relevant experience OR equivalent combination of education and relevant experienceDemonstrated ability to read schematicsDemonstrated proficiency using personal computers and Microsoft Office applicationsDesired QualificationsExperience with Cadence AllegroWorking knowledge of PCB manufacturing processesWorking knowledge of all types of electronic componentsWorking knowledge of electronic circuits theory of operationGarmin International is an equal opportunity employer.
