Network Administrator
Description:
At Signia Aerospace, the network administrator is responsible for maintaining the networks and systems that keep our organization running. From maintaining ironclad security to supervising network updates and training users, the administrator is not only IT support but also the thread that connects all operations. Deep technological expertise with a wide range of computer systems, hardware, and software is essential for the network administrator to excel in this role and help drive our organization forward.
Objectives of this role
Assist in network design, implementation, and maintenance
Provide network support across organizational operating systems
Maintain stable and consistent connectivity across all network devices
Prepare, implement, and monitor disaster procedures and recovery
Maintain strong security practices and oversight
Responsibilities
Maintain network servers and associated hardware, software, services, and settings (Both Physical & Virtual)
Recommend, test, implement and enforce security standards
Consistently monitor and troubleshoot network stability and performance
Create, adjust, and maintain network user settings and permissions
Write technical support documentation for network systems and applications
Propose improvements to increase the IT value to the organization
Provide assistance to the IT help desk team when required
Participate in both corporate wide IT projects and facility localized projects
Identify, develop, and implement training for employees and technicians for the use of the LAN, WAN, WIFI and associated networking systems as well as the maintenance and repair and troubleshooting of systems. Develop and conduct various training programs for system users to improve user skills, productivity, and accuracy. Educate and inform staff on cybersecurity issues and common security protection methods
Work with SOC team to ensure solid cyber security for the entire organization
Requirements:
Required skills and qualifications
Three or more years of experience in a network administration role
Comprehensive knowledge of networking concepts, computing infrastructures and troubleshooting
Proven skills in network engineering, operations, and performance analysis
In depth knowledge of Microsoft Active directory, DHCP, DNS, Group Policy and PowerShell
Experience with leading server management and monitoring tools
Strong communication skills for training, assisting end users and interacting with leadership
Excellent knowledge of VMWare, O365, Azure AD, Firewall Technologies, and Windows Server Operating Systems
Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in computer science or related field
Preferred skills and qualifications
Experience with VPN and MFA technologies
Experience with Fortinet Firewalls and Access Points, Watch Guard Firewalls, Mimecast, and LANSweeper
Experience with Synology Appliances and Backup Applications
Experience with either EMC SANs or other storage units and either Cisco or Dell switches
Experience with MS SQL a plus
Professional certification, such as CISSP, CCNA, or CCNP a plus
Familiar with CMMC and NIST security standards and certification processes a plus

30% travel maybe required during project-based activities along with routine visit schedules
