This position is responsible for booking and generating group guest room revenues and other target goals as established by Director of Sales and Marketing. The Executive Meeting Manager - H is the main liaison between the hotel and the client and will ensure that the highest levels of guest satisfaction are delivered.ESSENTIAL SKILLS Ability to follow all appropriate policies, hotel standards and procedures while constantly striving to improve all standards of operation Ability to follow safety and security procedures Ability to plan, prioritize, organize, maintain concentration, and complete all required tasks Ability to focus attention to performance of tasks despite frequent interruptions Ability to communicate calmly with irate guests or team members and diffuse tense situations Ability to work cohesively with co-workers as part of a team and interact with others with courtesy, friendliness and respect and provide responsive service. Ability to understand guest service needs and address and resolve issues.ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Prospect and solicit accounts for potential group business Book and contract group business to achieve established booking goals Maintain professional and satisfactory client relations and ensure that group specifications are communicated and executed by all hotel departments for a successful conference experience for the meeting planner and attendees Follow established sales department and group booking procedures and standards. Monitor and manage room blocks according to contract utilizing group history reports and information given by clients to maximize hotel revenue, making adjustments as necessary Generates sales contracts as well as other important information, i.e., room blocks, cut-off dates, special concessions and attrition clauses and communicate with clients Monitor and enforce program deadline dates and work with clients to release meeting space not needed to maximize hotel revenues Produce and distribute resume prior to first day of main group arrival and communicate any changes and updated information to hotel departments. Accurately forecast group rooms and group food and beverage revenues for assigned groups and affiliate business Participate in site visits and plan meetings for upcoming groups and potential affiliate business Participate in Pre/Post Convention meetings and oversees payment procedures with clients Prepare and approve accurate Banquet Event Orders and Group Resumes and establish Event Services standards to properly meet guest needs Assist clients with creating and providing alternatives and solutions as needed during event planning process Maintain Sales and Event Services files up to date, including timely updates in Delphi system. Partners with Accounting team to deliver accurate billing to event clients. Provide menu creation guidance to clients and demonstrate ability to present, create and sell a variety of catering menu options as well as other related services to client. Function as On-Site contact for assigned conferences and events and be visible and available for client and guest assistance as needed. Achieve established revenue targets and guest satisfaction standards as measured by Brand Meeting Planner Surveys Remains up to-date with meeting planner technology and trends.
