Direct Hire- Program Manager

Essential FunctionsKey Activities and Position ResponsibilitiesProject Planning and Scheduling:Develop a detailed project plan outlining all phases, tasks, milestones, and deliverables.Define the project scope, objectives, and timelines.Create a resource allocation plan and ensure availability of required resources.Assists in the preparation of proposals, plans, specifications, and financial conditions of contracts.Stakeholder Management:Identify all stakeholders and define their roles and responsibilities.Communicate regularly with stakeholders to keep them informed about project progress and address their concerns.Facilitate stakeholder meetings and ensure their expectations are managed.Team Management:Assemble and lead the project team, ensuring that all team members are clear on their tasks andresponsibilities.Foster a collaborative team environment and resolve conflicts.Prepares program management reviews, management progress reports, and presentations.Works collaboratively with all employees throughout the organization.Ensures adherence to master plans and schedules.Provide guidance, support, and training to team members as needed.Budget and Cost Management:Develop and manage the project budget, ensuring costs are kept within agreed limits by monitors labor, material, overhead, and other costs related to programs.Monitor and control project expenditures and ensure efficient use of resources.Handle any budget-related issues and make necessary adjustments.Risk Management:Identify potential risks and develop risk mitigation strategies.Monitor risks throughout the project lifecycle and take proactive measures to address them.Ensure there are contingency plans in place for critical risks.Communication Management:Develop and implement a communication plan to ensure timely and effective communication within the project team and with stakeholders.Ensure that project status, issues, and changes are clearly communicatedMaintain documentation and reports on project progress.Quality Management:Ensure that the project deliverables meet the required quality standards.Implement quality control processes and conduct regular quality assurance checks.Address any quality issues promptly.Change Management:Manage any changes to the project scope, schedule, or resources.Ensure that changes are properly documented, communicated, and approved.Mitigate the impact of changes on the project.Customer and Partner Management:Coordinate with customers and partnersManage contracts, ensure deliverables are met, and address any customer-related issues.Compliance and Governance:Ensure that the project adheres to organizational policies, standards, and regulatory requirements.Conduct regular reviews and audits to ensure compliance.Overall, the project manager ensures that the project is completed on time, within budget, and meets the desired client objectives and quality standards.MUST HAVE:Education and ExperienceBachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and technical experience.PMP, PgMP, or equivalent certification required.Minimum 10+ years of experience as a Program Manager in a DoD environmentmanaging large-scale contracts ($100M+ level).Preference for candidates with PM experience as US DOD Prime; Navy program background is a strong plus.Demonstrated ability to manage defense contracts confidently.Experience engaging with senior military leaders and government customers.Advanced knowledge of MS Office, including MS Project; ERP system familiarity helpful but not core.Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.Must be a U.S. person as defined by 22 U.S.C. § 6010.
