Software Engineering Manager

We are hiring a Senior Director of Software Development to lead a 12-person team across development, QA, business analysis, data science, and analytics. You will report to the Head of Operations. Our client is a global leader in the lending and insurance risk operations space.This is a hands-on leadership role. You set technical direction, stay close enough to design, architecture, code review, and development to guide the work, and turn business problems into working software. The team is already using agentic approaches. You will push that from prototype into production, not start the conversation.What you will lead• Day-to-day technical leadership across architecture, design, development, and code review• AI-first delivery: client experience redesign, an LLM document-intelligence pipeline, agentic intake into that pipeline, and AI assistance on a core research workflow• Data and analytics: ETL (SSIS), reporting, and data quality• Hiring, mentoring, and developing the team• Engineering standards for architecture, code review, testing, and release management• Prioritization with business partners, lenders and third-party integrations, and reliable, secure, scalable production systems• A delivery-platform modernization onto OpenShift with GitOps (Argo CD, Harbor)StackC# / .NET (APIs and desktop), ASP.NET Core Web APIs, SQL Server, modern Angular, SSIS, IIS, Kubernetes or OpenShift, git, CI/CDRequired• Bachelor’s in computer science or a related field, or equivalent experience• 10+ years of professional software development, with significant C# / .NET• 5+ years leading development teams, including hiring, mentoring, and developing talent• Hands-on ASP.NET Core Web APIs, Angular, and SQL Server (T-SQL, schema design, performance tuning• Depth across software engineering, data, and AI, and a record of turning business problems into practical solutions• Hands-on LLMs or AI agents applied to real business problems• Data analytics and ETL, including SSIS• Deploying and supporting applications on Kubernetes or OpenShift, and on IIS• Git and CI/CD• Clear communication with executives, clients, and non-technical stakeholdersValued• Leading a data analytics team• SSRS, Power BI, or Python• Argo CD and Harbor• Mortgage, insurance, or flood experience, including loan origination system integrations or EDI*Third-party/recruiter/agency candidates will not be considered or replied to.
