ASSA ABLOY Global Solutions is a division focused on advanced access management, delivering end-to-end solutions that combine hardware, software, and services across industries such as hospitality, marine, and critical infrastructure.The OpportunityWe are looking for a commercially minded Senior Legal Counsel to join ASSA ABLOY Global Solutions. In this role, you will act as a trusted legal advisor to the business, supporting a dynamic and international organization across a broad range of commercial and strategic matters.You will be part of the divisional legal team and work closely with senior stakeholders across business units and functions, primarily supporting the American market while collaborating with a global legal network. The position offers a broad and hands-on scope, combining day-to-day legal support with involvement in strategic initiatives, including M&A, compliance programs, and risk management.This is a unique opportunity to operate at the intersection of law and business, providing pragmatic, solution-oriented advice that enables business growth while safeguarding the company’s interests.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide hands-on, day-to-day legal support to business units and functions across a wide range of commercial and operational mattersDraft, review, negotiate, and advise on a broad spectrum of agreements, including sales, distribution, service, licensing, procurement, and non-disclosure agreementsAct as a key advisor on regulatory and compliance topics, including data privacy, competition law, anti-corruption, export control, and intellectual property mattersManage and coordinate litigation and pre-litigation matters, working closely with external counsel and internal stakeholders to define and execute effective legal strategiesSupport the full lifecycle of M&A activities, including legal due diligence, structuring, drafting and negotiating transaction documentation, and post-closing integrationDrive and support the development and implementation of legal policies, procedures, and training programs to strengthen compliance and mitigate legal risk across the organizationMonitor legal and regulatory developments relevant to the business and proactively advise stakeholders on implications and required actionsBuild strong relationships across the organization and serve as a trusted partner to commercial, operational, and functional teamsWhat You BringEducation & CertificationsJuris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school (required)Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution (required)LL.M. in International Law, Corporate Law, or related field (preferred)Active license to practice law in the State of Texas (required)IAPP certification (CIPP/US, CIPP/E, CIPM) or equivalent privacy credentials (preferred)ExperienceApproximately 8+ years of relevant experience, combining both private practice (commercial law firm) and in-house legal roles within a global organizationStrong expertise in commercial law, including extensive experience in drafting and negotiating complex contractsSolid understanding of compliance frameworks and key regulatory areas such as data privacy and anti-corruptionExperience with dispute resolution and managing external counselExposure to M&A processes, including due diligence and transaction execution, is highly valuedWho You AreA pragmatic, business-oriented legal professional who focuses on enabling outcomes rather than identifying obstaclesA collaborative team player who builds trust across functions, geographies, and culturesAble to balance legal risk with commercial priorities and make sound, well-judged decisions under pressureStructured, proactive, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentA strong communicator who can translate complex legal matters into clear, actionable adviceStrong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and advise senior leadershipHigh level of integrity, professionalism, and sound judgmentWe review applications regularly, so don’t wait!Just set up your profile and apply,no later than 5th of June.
