Our training, the Shop Service Technician helps Arnold keep that standing.Essential duties and responsibilitiesDisassemble, clean, and reassemble all material handling equipmentAssist shipping and receiving unloading trucks and checking in merchandiseMaintaining safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area, and work stations neat; Sweep, dust, and mop. Organize work area for orderliness at all timesPerform routine light maintenance on equipment (cleanliness, pre-inspection, etc.)Repairing and maintaining construction equipmentAbility to use a forklift and overhead crane to handle and move components and parts during the repair processMeasure and identify parts and components for reusability or replacement, ordering new parts as requiredUse all test and diagnostic equipment available to make adjustments to machines and systemsMake warranty recommendations and reports in representation of a prime productPerform minor welding, fabrication, plumbing alignment, and electric repairsWillingness to help out in other areas of the shop based on workloadQualification requirementsHigh School diploma or equivalent preferred1-2 yrs previous experience preferredGood communication, organizational, time management mathematical skillsDependable and ReliableEquipment maintenance, data entry, and computer skills may be requiredAbility to safely operate a forklift and overhead craneGeneral mechanical knowledgePhysical Demands and Working Conditions:Walking and moving about on foot often through uneven terrainLifting over 50 lbs. frequentlyHands/arms operating equipment, hand, and power toolsRaises or lowers miscellaneous equipment parts and toolsExtends hands and arms in any directionClimbing in and out of equipmentRead work tickets, parts, and service books and operate heavy equipmentCommunication by radio, phone, and in-personHears well enough to discern mechanical problems for safety in and around shop and mining sites and to receive communication by radio, phone, and in-personSits in equipment and vehiclesLies in a prone position under vehicles and equipmentAbility to work in different weatherBenefits offered:Paid Sick LeavePaid VacationPaid HolidayThe company currently pays 100% of the medical premium for associates and familyDental and Vision plans401K/Roth with company matchQuarterly and Yearly Bonus programsCompany Stock received to associates with 5+ years of serviceNOTE: This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
