This role is responsible for creating, modifying, and optimizing CNC programs for milling and machining operations, ensuring parts are produced to specification and within tolerance. Daily tasks include interpreting technical drawings and blueprints, selecting appropriate tooling and machining strategies, setting up jobs in collaboration with machinists, and troubleshooting machining issues on the shop floor. The CNC Programmer will review completed parts for accuracy, continuously refine programs to improve efficiency and quality, and work closely with production and quality teams to meet delivery timelines. The role also involves maintaining documentation, adhering to safety and quality standards, and contributing to process improvements within the machining department.Qualifications Ability to interpret and apply Technical Drawing and blueprint reading skills to machining and programming tasks.Proficiency in CNC Programming and general Programming for creating, editing, and optimizing machine code.Hands-on experience with Machining and Milling operations, including tooling selection and process setup.Strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and capability to work with tight tolerances and complex components.Experience with CNC controls and CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, Fusion 360, or similar) is highly beneficial.Understanding of safety, quality, and lean manufacturing principles in a precision machining environment.Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with machinists, engineers, and management.Relevant technical education or apprenticeship in machining, manufacturing technology, or a related field preferred; comparable practical experience also valued.
