Manager Revenue Cycle Education
SummaryResponsible for oversight, development and operationalization of Revenue Cycle Education and Quality Assurance through collaboration with the Revenue Cycle leadership team. Able to develop and effectively deliver all education and quality assurance support, allowing operational areas to function effectively and with financial integrity. Functions as an Administrator of Learning Management System (LMS) for the Revenue Cycle, to include creation of courses, assignment of courses, and monitoring of compliance.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesThese duties and responsibilities described below represent the general tasks performed on a daily basis; other tasks may be assigned.Acts as a senior leader within Revenue Cycle operations and subject matter expert who is able to take IT enhancements and understand how they fit into operational workflowResponsible for oversight of the Revenue Cycle Education and Quality Assurance teams to include coordination of training and education programs, curriculum content, materials and delivery, compliance education, and policies and procedures.Works collaboratively with leadership team to understand gaps and deficits in order to create educational material to enhance end-user knowledgeResponsible for development and design of role-based educational curriculaDesigns assessment tools and interprets data to assist with training, education and development of staff based on training needs assessment in collaboration with revenue cycle leadership teamParticipates as a part of Revenue Cycle leadership team and engages with colleagues of all levelsInteracts with clinical areas to ensure workflow design meets, supports, and/or enhances department needs and the patient experienceActs as liaison between revenue cycle departments and ancillary departments to determine training needs related to accounts receivable impactRecruit and retain subject matter experts (SME) to act as educators for the departments supportedDevelops and maintains training materials, tip sheets, workflows, etc.Maintains training records and provides information on needs and progress of trainees to leadersDevelops and maintains quality monitoring process and monitors progress of staff as requestedDevelops, measures, and maintains quality data and provides reports on selected data elementsReceives information from leadership and creates communication tools for end-users to relay information related to payers and federal/state regulatory requirementsAudits specific quality data for Federal and State Compliance program requirementsAlways maintain patient confidentialityDirect, staff, and supervise the Revenue Cycle Education department including hiring, evaluations, disciplinary action, orientation, and training.Oversee and monitor quality control to ensure sound and compliant practices are followed.Supervisory ResponsibilitiesReports to: Sr Director Revenue CycleSupervises: Revenue Cycle EducatorsDirectly supervises Credentialed Trainers, Education Specialists, and Quality Assurance Specialists.QualificationsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Five (5) years of management experience may be considered in lieu of degreeExperience: 6 years of experience within healthcare setting required. Experience with Epic EMR is required.
