Maintenance Supervisor

The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the maintenance team and ensuring the efficient operation, reliability, and safety of all manufacturing equipment and facilities. This role coordinates preventive and corrective maintenance activities, minimizes downtime, and supports continuous improvement initiatives within the plant. Key Responsibilities: Supervise, train, and schedule maintenance technicians and mechanicsPlan and oversee preventive maintenance (PM) programs for machinery and equipmentRespond to equipment breakdowns and ensure timely repairs to minimize production downtimeCoordinate with production teams to prioritize maintenance activitiesMonitor equipment performance and recommend improvements or upgradesMaintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, and equipment logsEnsure compliance with safety standards, OSHA regulations, and company policiesManage spare parts inventory and coordinate with purchasing as neededAssist in capital projects, equipment installations, and facility upgradesDevelop and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) for maintenanceControl maintenance costs and adhere to departmental budgetsSupport lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives Qualifications: High school diploma or GED required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, or related field preferred5+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment2+ years of supervisory or leadership experienceStrong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systemsExperience with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems)Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematicsStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Preferred Qualifications: Experience with PLCs and automation systemsCertification in maintenance, reliability, or related fieldLean manufacturing or Six Sigma experienceWelding, fabrication, or advanced electrical skills Compensation: $115,000-120,000Salary is based on a range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications.
