Quality Engineer
ResponsibilitiesJob Description Produce and monitor internal and external quality metrics for each production line. Conduct deep dive of quality trends and KPIs to identify top opportunities and failure modes. Engage key stakeholders, including Engineering and Production, to develop process improvements, and corrective/preventative actions against top opportunities. Manage customer communication regarding quality during periodic business reviews, as well as during any SCAR/CAPA reviews. Support Quality Manager in executing internal and external audits, to ensure regulatory, ISO and Customer agreements are adhered to. Provide indirect leadership and guidance to members of the quality team, notably in establishing daily priorities and milestone tracking. Support the business in establishing continuous improvement opportunities and the future state of our operations. Key Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in engineering or an equivalent technical subject from an accredited institution 3-5 years’ experience operating in a Quality organization Demonstrated ability to identify and address quality improvements through standardized approaches such as TQM, Lean, Continuous Improvement. Knowledge of Quality Management Systems Experience operating in an ISO/Regulated environment such as healthcare, aerospace, automotive. Experience operating in a full product lifecycle environment, including new product development, manufacturing, delivery and warranty/field management. Ability to take strong ownership, work in a cross functional environment, and prioritize workload. Experience with mobile device technology, configuration and repair will be beneficial, but not required. Formal training and certifications a plus (e.g. ISO Internal Auditor, Six Sigma, ASQ, Shainin).
