Within Fender Musical Instruments Corporation’s ("FMIC") Marketing team, you’ll support web design efforts for Fender.com, JacksonGuitars.com and Presonus.com and help to evolve our global digital experience through thoughtful storytelling, modern UX, and scalable design systems.An American icon, Fender was born in Southern California and has built a worldwide influence extending beyond the studio and the stage. A Fender is more than an instrument, it’s a cultural symbol that resonates globally.We are searching for a Sr. UI/UX Web Designer. This role requires a design guru who thrives in fast-paced environments, interprets incoming requirements with confidence, and can drive both strategy and execution with attention to detail and craft.We place product discovery, customer engagement and brand elevation at the forefront. You’ll be working closely with the Marketing web team to define, design and deliver a best-in-class direct-to-consumer experience for our customers and revenue potential globally. The role demands digital web design depth, with principled, empathetic and innovative thinking, sound judgment, and a refusal to settle on a “just OK” result. We require a high bar for quality and design, and design approached with a player-centric mentality throughout.Essential FunctionsSupport web design across Fender’s Shopify website ecosystemTranslate business goals and user needs into intuitive, user-centered design solutionsCollaborate with product managers, engineers, and the creative team to ensure continuity in delivery of product design expectationsEvolve and scale responsive design systems across web touchpointsContribute to and champion the refreshed Fender design languagePresent design work clearly and persuasively to stakeholdersBalance large initiatives with iterative optimizations (e.g. PDP/PLP updates, merch modules)Qualifications6+ years of web design experience, with a strong UI/ UX background in supporting global corporate websites that combine brand storytelling with eCommerceStrong UX skills, including information architecture, user flows, wireframes, and problem solvingExcellent visual design skills with experience collaborating closely with brand/creative teamsExperience working in Shopify and/or content management systems like ContentfulProficiency in Figma and familiarity with Jira workflowsAbility to self-direct and confidently present work in a lean, cross-functional environmentComfortable navigating ambiguity and driving clarity through designBonus Points: Familiarity with Baymard Institute best practices and accessibility standardsPassion for music or experience working with global consumer brandsExperience designing lifestyle commerce-oriented experiences Multi-platform/multi-screen experienceAbout Fender Musical InstrumentsFender Musical Instruments Corporation (FMIC) is one of the world’s leading musical instrument manufacturers, marketers and distributors, whose portfolio of brands includes Fender®, Squier®, Presonus®, Gretsch®, Jackson®, EVH®, Charvel®, Bigsby®, and Groove Tubes®, among others. Please note that it is not typical for a Fender employee to be at or near the top of the pay scale for their role – especially as a new hire – and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. Subject to the foregoing, the current pay scale for this position is $80,000.00 - $145,000.00
