Land Surveyor IIIOwn Your Future at PsomasJoin a 100% employee-owned firm built for long-term thinking, shared success, and meaningful impact.As our Land Surveyor III for our Survey & Geospatial team in Roseville, you'll step into a key role, supporting project delivery, collaborating with a growing team, and contributing to a wide range of surveying and mapping services across infrastructure projects.Why PsomasShared Success: An ownership culture that rewards long-term thinking and doing what's right.Retirement Benefits: Company-funded ESOP + 401(k) with immediate match.Hybrid Flexibility: Flexible and hybrid work options that support collaboration and focused work.Career Growth: Clear pathways, training, and professional development.People-First Culture: Collaborative teams that invest in your development.Meaningful Work: Community-impact projects plus opportunities to grow your technical expertise.What You'll DoAs our Land Surveyor III, you will support survey projects from initiation through completion, ensuring quality and accuracy while collaborating with internal teams and supporting project delivery efforts.Project Coordination & SupportCollaborate with licensed surveyors, engineers, CAD staff, subcontractors, and agencies to support project delivery, submittals, and approvals.Technical Surveying & AnalysisPerform a variety of surveying tasks including boundary analysis, title report review, right-of-way engineering, ALTA surveys, topographic mapping, photogrammetry, LiDAR, and point cloud processing.Mapping & DeliverablesPrepare legal descriptions, exhibits, right-of-way plans, records of survey, and final technical drawings for agency submittals.Research & CalculationsResearch and analyze boundary elements for retracement and perform survey calculations and analytical work to support field and office efforts.Project Documentation & CommunicationAssist with RFIs, reports, schedules, and maintain project file systems while ensuring alignment across teams and stakeholders.Required Qualifications5+ years of surveying experience with a High School Diploma or GED OR Bachelor's degree in Geomatics or a related field with 2+ years of surveying experienceLSIT (Land Surveyor in Training) certificationPreferred QualificationsExperience with AutoCAD, Trimble Business Center (TBC), Carlson, MicroStation, or InRoadsPublic mapping experience including subdivision maps, parcel maps, records of survey, and legal descriptionsTopographic design mapping experienceAbility to read and interpret deedsKnowledge of boundary survey principlesCompensation & BenefitsHourly Range: $35.00 - $45.00 per hour (commensurate with experience)Incentives: Discretionary bonus and recognition programsTime Off: 3 weeks PTO plus 8 paid holidaysTotal Rewards: Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage for you and your family, along with employee ownership and retirement benefitsOur Hiring ApproachOur recruiting team reviews every application personally and will keep candidates informed throughout the process.
