Apprentice Carpenter (Residential & Light Commercial)Elyria, OH 44035Pay: $22.00 – $28.00 per hour, based on experience and skill levelWe are seeking a motivated Apprentice Carpenter with 1–2 years of residential construction experience to assist in residential and light commercial construction and restoration projects. This role is ideal for individuals who already have basic field experience and are looking to grow their skills alongside experienced carpenters.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:Assist carpenters with framing, drywall, trim, and general construction tasksMeasure, cut, and assemble materials according to specificationsSupport installation of doors, windows, cabinetry, and other fixturesPerform demolition and job site preparation as neededLoad, unload, and transport materials and toolsMaintain a clean, safe, and organized work environmentOperate hand and power tools safely and effectivelyFollow blueprints, instructions, and company standardsAdhere to all safety policies and OSHA regulationsQUALIFICATIONS:High school diploma or equivalent preferredAt least 1–2 years of residential construction experience requiredBasic understanding of carpentry methods, materials, and job site practicesAbility to read a tape measure and perform basic math accuratelyFamiliarity with hand and power toolsAbility to follow directions and work as part of a teamValid driver's license and reliable transportation requiredMust be able to pass a background check, in accordance with applicable lawsStrong work ethic, punctuality, and positive attitudePHYSICAL DEMANDS:Ability to lift and carry materials up to 50–75 lbs. regularlyFrequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and climbingAbility to work on ladders, scaffolding, and uneven surfacesUse of hands for handling tools and materials with good dexterityAbility to work in confined spaces when requiredTolerance for working in varying weather conditions (heat, cold, rain)Ability to perform physically demanding labor for extended periodsWORK ENVIRONMENT:Residential homes and light commercial construction sitesIndoor and outdoor work in varying environmental conditionsExposure to dust, noise, and construction materialsFast-paced, team-oriented environmentWe are an equal opportunity employer, and we are an organization that values diversity.
