Laveen Divine Cheer continuously strives to inspire athletes to achieve both personal and team success.Role DescriptionThis is a volunteer, on-site role located in Phoenix, AZ, as an Assistant Coach for Laveen Divine Cheer. The Assistant Coach will support the Head Coach to mentor young athletes, organize and run cheerleading practices, assist in choreographing routines, and provide guidance during competitions. Responsibilities also include ensuring the safety of all participants, fostering teamwork, and promoting sportsmanship. Administrative support, such as managing schedules and communications, may also be required.QualificationsKnowledge and skills in cheerleading, routine choreography, and physical conditioningAbility to motivate and mentor young athletes and foster a team-oriented environmentStrong organizational and communication skills to manage schedules and effectively interact with athletes, parents, and staffPrior experience in coaching or mentoring youth in sports is preferredBasic understanding of safety guidelines and injury prevention in sportsPatience, enthusiasm, and a positive attitudeCPR/First Aid Certification is a plusMust be able to obtain and hold a current Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card• USASF Safety Certification• Must successfully complete a background check.• Concussion Awareness Training• Understanding of the time commitment involved with both All-Star and Sideline Cheer, including practices, games, competitions, and special events.• Commitment to consistent attendance and reliability.• Ability to work collaboratively with the Head Coach, other staff, and families.
