Electrical Control Engineer

Key products include the ACPAK, a pre-engineered AC drive package up to 500 HP that can ship within 24 hours, and the TEMPCOM Extruder Control System, a graphic-oriented control platform designed for ease of use and advanced diagnostics. These offerings enable customers to modernize their equipment quickly, reduce downtime, and gain greater control over production processes.Role Description The Electrical Control Engineer will design, develop, and implement drive and control systems for plastic extruders, with a focus on upgrading and integrating products such as ACPAK and TEMPCOM. Day-to-day responsibilities include creating electrical schematics, programming PLCs and HMIs, configuring AC drives, and supporting system integration and commissioning. The role involves troubleshooting control issues, optimizing system performance, preparing documentation, and collaborating with manufacturing, sales, and service teams to meet customer requirements. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Coppell, TX, requiring close coordination with internal teams and occasional support for field installations.Qualifications Demonstrated expertise in electrical control design, including reading and creating schematics, panel layout, and wiring diagrams.Proficiency with PLC and HMI programming tools, and experience configuring AC drives and motion control systems.Strong troubleshooting skills for industrial control systems, including diagnostic testing, root-cause analysis, and system optimization.Knowledge of industrial automation standards, safety regulations, and best practices for control system design in manufacturing environments.Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate technical information clearly to non-technical stakeholders.Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.Experience with extrusion or plastics processing equipment, or related heavy industrial machinery, is preferred.Willingness to work on-site in Coppell, TX and occasionally support installations or service activities at customer locations.
