We replace the manual schema mapping, transformation, and validation work that consultants do by hand today with an AI system built on a single principle: AI proposes, deterministic engines validate, humans approve. Paying enterprise customer in production, active pipeline of mid-market software companies, in the Antler residency. The roleWe're hiring a Founding Engineer to ship the next phase of our platform. You'll work directly with the founder on the hardest parts of our system — the agent loop, eval harness, transformation engine, and validation pipeline. This is a strong IC role with high autonomy. You'll own meaningful slices of the product end-to-end, partner with the founder on technical decisions, and ship code that paying enterprise customers run on. Not a "junior engineer learns the ropes" position. What you'll work onPhase 3 agent architecture — agent loop, decomposition strategy, multi-agent voting, eval harnessTransformation and validation — dry-run loops, row sampling, false positive reduction, correctness guaranteesProduction reliability — async patterns, idempotency, error handling for enterprise workloadsEval infrastructure — measure mapping accuracy, transformation correctness, regression detectionCustomer-facing features — work on what enterprise customers see and depend on every dayWho you areMust-have:3–7 years of engineering experience, with 2+ shipping production systems used by real customersProduction LLM or agent system experience — has shipped applications using LLM APIs in production. Non-negotiable.Strong backend and data fundamentals — Postgres at depth, schema design, SQL, async patterns, idempotencyTypeScript proficient. Next.js or Node ideal.Has shipped to paying customers, not just side projectsStrong preference:Background in data engineering, integration, migration, or ETL — alumni from Snowflake, Databricks, Airbyte, dbt Labs, Fivetran, Mulesoft, Workato, Informatica, or Talend will understand the problem viscerallyHas built eval frameworks (Braintrust, Langfuse, or homegrown)Production cloud experience — AWS, GCP, Azure, or modern PaaS (Vercel, Supabase, Render, Fly.io)Enterprise SaaS exposure — knows what SSO, RBAC, audit logs, and SOC 2 mean Cultural fit:Investigation-first — read code before changing itHigh agency, can decide and ship without directionDirect communicator — corporate-comms styles won't fitCares about correctness more than noveltyWhat we offer:Title: Founding EngineerCash: $130K–$160K baseEquity: 1.5–3% common stock, 4-year vest, 1-year cliffLocation: NYC.
