This Maine-based facility has spent more than 50 years producing high-temperature materials and composites used in aerospace, defense, and space exploration applications, including programs tied to NASA and the Department of Defense.Their specialized materials contribute to groundbreaking initiatives such as spacecraft thermal protection systems, rocket motor components, military vehicle armor, and commercial and military jet engine applications.The OpportunityThis role supports a highly specialized manufacturing team within a climate-controlled environment. The position involves working directly with carbon fiber materials in a hands-on production setting requiring precision, focus, and strong attention to detail.ResponsibilitiesPerform repetitive, hands-on manufacturing and material handling tasksUtilize tools and apply physical force to fixtures and equipmentInspect products to ensure specifications and quality standards are metSupport production setup, documentation updates, and in-process tasksFollow all safety procedures and PPE requirementsParticipate in Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiativesWork collaboratively within a team-oriented environmentWhat They Are Looking ForHigh School diploma or GED equivalentAbility to pass a physical, including vision and lifting requirements, along with a drug screenStrong hand-eye coordination and attention to detailBasic reading, writing, and math skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamManufacturing experience or exposure preferredAbility to stand for extended periods
