Construction Project Manager

Job Title: Construction Project Manager (EPC)Location: Joplin, MOJob Type: Long-term Contract (Field Assignment Per Diem Available)Position Overview:We are seeking a Construction Project Manager to support EPC Project Managers and Program Managers in delivering successful projects from pre-construction through completion and warranty phases. This role is responsible for overseeing day-to-day construction operations, ensuring projects are executed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in alignment with quality standards.This is a field-based role located in Joplin, MO, requiring strong leadership, coordination, and project execution experience across complex construction environments.Key Responsibilities:Promote and enforce safety programs, policies, and procedures; lead safety performance across project teams and subcontractorsOversee daily construction activities and manage one or multiple projects simultaneouslySupport project planning, scheduling, estimating, and cost development; establish critical project objectivesDevelop and maintain strong client relationships; serve as a key point of contact for project-related mattersParticipate in project risk reviews and coordinate with legal teams as neededNegotiate contracts including prime contracts, subcontracts, and change ordersImplement key elements of the Project Execution Plan, including construction execution, QA/QC, safety, staffing, and procurement plansDevelop construction staffing plans and manage multidisciplinary teams for efficient project executionOversee site planning, mobilization, and demobilization activitiesEnsure all required permits and approvals are obtained and maintainedLead RFP and bid processes, including scope development, subcontractor prequalification, evaluation, and award recommendationsReview and present project reports including budgets, cash flow forecasts, and status updates to leadership and stakeholdersCoordinate with engineering teams to align deliverables with project schedulesManage contract administration processes including RFIs, submittals, change orders, and claims mitigationOversee invoicing processes for prime contracts and subcontractorsCoordinate commissioning and startup activities with clients and vendorsEnsure proper documentation control and compliance across all project phasesManage insurance, licensing, tax, and bonding requirements for projects and subcontractorsConduct safety, quality, progress, and financial auditsOversee non-conformance reporting and corrective action processesManage project cost reporting, scheduling, work breakdown structures, and field progress trackingOversee material management including receiving, storage, inventory, and logisticsEnsure subcontractor and contractor compliance with contract requirements, safety, quality, and scheduleLead project closeout activities including turnover documentation, warranty management, and record retentionInterface with governmental, industry, and community stakeholders as neededMentor and train project team members including coordinators, supervisors, and junior project managersProvide performance feedback for project staffManage labor relations, staffing, craft classifications, and labor cost trackingOversee construction equipment usage and availabilityTrack and manage earned value, scheduling metrics, cost controls, and change managementSupport development of labor agreements and maintain relationships with building tradesEnsure compliance with all company policies and proceduresPerform additional duties as assignedQualifications:Bachelor's degree in Construction, Construction Management, Engineering, or related field and 7+ years of relevant project management experience in the construction industryEquivalent experience may be considered in lieu of a degreeStrong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Access)Experience with project management systems, scheduling tools, and cost control software preferredExcellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilitiesAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentExperience in industries such as aviation, commercial, energy, government, manufacturing, oil & gas, transportation, transmission & distribution, or water preferredWorking knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)Valid driver's license and ability to meet driving requirementsAspen Technical StaffingCELEBRATING 25 YEARS~2001-2026~We are an Equal Opportunity Employer.
