Facilitate the timely and accurate shipments of customer orders as well as serve as an intermediary between the customer planners and shipping. To maintain inventory accuracy and organization in the rail lot, both in the finished goods area and base bars storage. What does success look like? Manage the day-to-day activities of the Logistic Technicians. Check Kronos regularly to insure that no unacceptable trends in attendance or punctuality are occurring. Distribute and assign workload as necessary. Manage the day to day lot activities for the side loader operators. Ensure they perform their duties required to keep the plant supplied with rails and empty trolleys in a timely manner. Act as super user and resource for the people or departments that use Oracle. Investigate and correct the source of errors that prevent timely creation of Oracle shipping documents. Responsible for the implementation of RF scanners for inventory control. Execute training and coaching of the operators to insure the discipline of matching physical and logical moves is maintained. Responsible for developing and maintaining a cycle count program to insure the most accurate inventory possible. Responsible for warehouse operations following MOS Storage Control and Material Identification practice. Gather information on work related activities for the Logistic Techs and the Side Loader operators in order to complete annual reviews in a timely manner. Evaluate and improve current shipping processes and document procedures. Through MOS Shipping Board practice. The aforementioned represent essential functions of the position described, i.e., the primary responsibilities required of the position. Define and implement MOS work design type 3 What you will bring: 4-year college degree (or significant exp. beyond the requirement listed below) 5 years of experience as a supervisor in a shipping environment, preferable in the manufacturing sector.
