They ensure food is fresh, high quality and prepared with safe food handling practices. We are seeking a very special candidate for this important role! We have a strong 50-year reputation for workplace excellence and our leadership demonstrates team member commitment and appreciation every day!BenefitsScholarship opportunitiesFlexible scheduling Supportive environment to grow your career4.5% dollar for dollar match on our 403BAmazing residents, team members, and leaders!Essential Duties And ResponsibilitiesFollows standardized recipes and production sheet counts when preparing meals and adjusts recipes for amounts needed as necessaryFollows requirements for therapeutic and mechanically altered diets Prepares foods based on the production schedules utilizing wholesome ingredients Takes temperatures of foods during preparation and prior to serviceFollows HACCP standards while producing food to ensure food safety measures are metTastes food prior to service and adjusts seasonings as needed, mindful of therapeutic dietsAdheres to all standards of food safety when handling food products. Follows safety precautions when using kitchen equipmentPractices personal cleanliness, wears clean uniforms, changing soiled apron frequently and wears hair coverings according to dress code.Minimum RequirementsWillingness to perform routine, repetitive tasks and ability to regulate and maintain workflowPleasant personality and patience exhibited while interacting with residents, guests, and team membersAbility to read, write, communicate, and comprehend EnglishMaintain a clean and neat appearanceAt The Culpeper, energy, compassion, creativity and talents are valued and rewarded.
