Sinceevery duty associated with this classification may not be describedherein, employees may be required to perform duties not specificallyspelled out in this classification description, but which may bereasonably considered to be incidental in the performing of their dutiesjust as though they were actually written out in this description.*\\ Assist PHSD clients with information and services for a variety ofCommunity Health Nutrition Programs (CHNP) including the FederalWomen Infants & Children (WIC) program, and other nutritionalcounseling programs and support services and perform duties withinscope of authority and training and in compliance with Countypolicies. Work with high priority and complicated client counseling cases andperform complex assessment and certification formula calculations. Monitor inventory of CHNP supplies and re-order supplies as neededand verify and report supplies inventory monthly. Interview clients, document income status and current livingconditions, and determine eligibility for CHNP services. Evaluate clients\' nutrition and health-related needs, discuss anddocument clients\' eating habits, health history, and currentmedical condition, and work with client to develop personal goalsand a nutrition care plan. Counsel and educate clients on proper nutrition practices, provideeducational material and personalized information on CHNP and PHSDprograms, and refer clients to other service providers as needed. Assist clients in accessing other health care professionals,regional agencies, and community services programs. Monitor ongoing quality assurance activities on laboratory resultsand record keeping procedures. Maintain case file records and collect, compile, and report data onprogram participation. Provide outreach programs to explain the nature of PHSD programs andservices to community groups and identify, evaluate, and reportcommunity needs. Assist with training and cross-training of Nutrition Specialists. Maintain absolute confidentiality of work-related issues, customerrecords, and restricted County information. Perform other related duties as required.## MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS TO PERFORM WORK High school diploma or GED equivalent. Two (2) years of professional work experience in public healthprograms. Or an equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experiencemay substitute for the minimum requirements.Prefer red Qualifications**: Degree in Nutrition or health related field. Bi-lingual English-Spanish language skills. Successful completion of training programs by Arizona Department ofHealth Services is required. **Arizona residentsmust have an Arizona Drivers License uponhire;**newly established Arizona Residents must have one**within 30days of hire.**## KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIESKnowledge of federal and state public health program regulations andrequirements, including Arizona Department of Health Services proceduresand standards, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and othergrant funded programs.Knowledge of principles and practices of nutrition, therapeuticnutrition, and child development.Knowledge of methods, practices, and procedures for assisting publichealth clients.Knowledge of regional community service agencies, community resources,publi
