DescriptionPerforms clerical and administrative functions and related duties as assigned in support of the Building Division.SUPERVISION RECEIVED AND EXERCISEDGeneral supervision is provided by the Building Division supervisory staff. The position may receive task-related input and guidance from other personnel as needed to complete assignments from division supervisory staff.Examples of DutiesDuties Include, But Are Not Limited ToPreparing hardcopy documents and plans for digitization.Scanning documents into electronic format.Document management of electronic records.Perform related duties as assigned.Typical QualificationsAn appropriate combination of experience and training that would likely provide the required skills, knowledge, and abilities is qualifying.Knowledge OfModern office practices, procedures, methods and equipment, including computer systems and software.English usage, spelling, grammar, and punctuation.Ability to:Perform office duties, tasks, and clerical work with accuracy, in a governmental environment.Operate and use modern office equipment, including computer equipment, scanners, and software at a speed necessary for adequate performance of assigned duties.Maintain confidential data and information.Follow oral and written instructions thoroughly and accurately.Fulfill assigned functions and activities.Read, write, and communicate in English at a level needed for successful job performance.Establish and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work.Experience, Training, Other:Education: Ongoing coursework equivalent to or exceeding the nineth grade level is required. Completion of education equivalent to twelfth grade is preferred.Experience: None required.Training: None required.Other: Must pass appropriate background checks.
