Position DescriptionTitle: Mailer/Pouch Operator IDepartment: ProductionImmediate Supervisor: Plant Supervisory StaffStatus: Hourly Non-ExemptPosition Purpose: Operates mailer equipmentPrinciple AccountabilitiesResponsible for safe, controlled set-up, operation, and troubleshooting equipment and processes.Ensure product is manufactured and completed as per technical specifications.Monitors and adjusts controls to ensure products comply with production standards.Ensure equipment and set-up parameters are established, followed and improved.Ensure materials required for changeover are available and secured prior to set-ups.Records quality and production metrics via written/electronic methods and within time deadlines.Ensure accurate inventory and effective control of materials and supplies.Coaching and mentoring assistants by providing clear and precise instructions.Ensure all safety rules and company policies/procedures are followed.Perform quality control checksAbility to read tape measureMust be detailed oriented and have a sense of urgencyUse PPE as requiredMaintain good housekeepingRelated tasks as requested by supervisorEssential Skills and ExperienceMust have High School Diploma or equivalent.Minimum 2 years of manufacturing experience.No travel requiredMust be able to work in varying temperatures above 95 degrees Fahrenheit.Ability to repeatedly lift to a maximum of 50 lbs.Must have basic computer skills, AS400, Microsoft Office.Must have basic math skills.This position does require training at our sister facility in Atlanta, GA. Six weeks of training will be requiredThis position will operate on a 36/48 schedule rotation on day shift to include weekends.
