General Manager

In this year-round position as the General Manager, you will oversee all aspects of our highly seasonal operation, including onsite wedding and events, during the vibrant summer and fall months. The off-season responsibilities will include staff development, capital projects, seasonal programming, and budgeting to ensure a seamless guest experience.
Our ideal candidate brings a minimum of 5 years of hospitality experience to the table, ideally in a hotel management capacity. As the helm of the hotel, you will be instrumental in driving its overall success. This entails not only surpassing planned objectives for revenue and profit but also fostering innovation in programming and maintaining an unwavering commitment to enhancing the guest experience and engaging with the local community.

Compensation:
$68,000 - $75,000
Responsibilities:
Construct and manage a straightforward and effective marketing strategy to promote the hotel's services and amenities
Design a budget that guarantees customer satisfaction and quality of services while keeping expenses controlled and profit margins maximized
Establish the hotel's reputation for quality by inspecting rooms, public areas, and the surrounding grounds for cleanliness and upkeep
Provide the vision, leadership, and strategy that inspires your staff to deliver exceptional guest service that drives financial success
Collaborate with hotel department leaders to define goals and objectives that are compatible with the overall hotel goals, as well as strategies for achieving them
Qualifications:
A proven record of experience managing a team, preferably in the hospitality field, is required
You must have 5 or more years of experience working in the hospitality field
Must have superb communication skills, organizational skills, and problem-solving skills
Proven customer service experience as a manager; strong guest-focused mentality
This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent GED; a degree in hospitality or a related field of study preferred
