It may not be for the faint-hearted, but if you thrive on innovation, enjoy pushing boundaries and want to be part of a diverse, international team, then you'll fit right in at Betsson.A taster of what you will be involved with:Database AdministrationOwn and support SQL Server environments (prod & non‐prod)Troubleshoot performance, availability, and data integrity issuesEnsure HA/DR with backups, clustering, and replicationAutomate routine DBA tasks to improve reliabilityInstall, patch, upgrade, and migrate SQL Server (on‐prem & cloud)Use AWS services for hosting, backup, and monitoring where neededDatabase DevelopmentBuild and optimize stored procedures and database objectsTune T‐SQL queries and manage indexing for performancePartner with engineers on scalable database designsSupport database releases and CI/CD pipelinesDesign data models for high‐traffic, high‐volume systemsTech Support & Operations* Opportunity to participate in on‐call rotation* Help investigate incidents and drive long‐term fixesDocumentation & ToolsMaintain clear documentation and runbooksUse SQL Server monitoring and diagnostic toolsApply HA and DR best practices across systemsWhat we are looking forExtensive hands‐on experience with Microsoft SQL Server versions 2017-2022.Strong proficiency in T‐SQL development and performance tuning.Ability to communicate effectively with developers and stakeholders, providing clear guidance on database best practices and optimization opportunities.Experience performing SQL Server migrations in hybrid environments (on‐prem cloud).Experience with AWS Cloud services relevant to database infrastructure (e.g., EC2, RDS, S3, IAM).Experience in using automation frameworks or scripting (PowerShell, Python, SQL Agent, DevOps pipelines) to optimize daily tasks.Passion for learning, staying ahead of new SQL Server features, and driving improvements in performance and stability across systems.What we offerMuch like riding a rollercoaster, sometimes life at Betsson can be lightning fast with twists and turns but always FUN!
