Fire Alarm TechnicianPosition OverviewWe are seeking a skilled Fire Alarm Technician to join our team and support industrial fire alarm and suppression systems. The person will be responsible for service, inspections, startup, programming, and commissioning of fire alarm and suppression systems.This position requires travel about 50% of the time. You'll travel to different project sites every 1-2 weeks.Key ResponsibilitiesSpearhead the service, inspections, startup, programming, and commissioning of fire alarm and suppression systems.Diagnose and repair issues with fire alarm systems and associated equipment.Provide exceptional customer service and support to clients regarding fire protection needs.Maintain accurate records of inspections, tests, and maintenance activities.Collaborate with construction teams to plan and install fire protection systems in new buildings.Stay updated with industry standards, codes, and regulations related to fire safety.Qualifications5+ years of fire alarm service and installation experienceKnowledge of Notifier, Silent Knight, Siemens, Honeywell, and other panels.Knowledge of NFPA codes and regulations related to fire protection.Strong background in electrical systems and construction practices.Relevant licenses and certifications in fire protection services are a plus.Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in field tech environments.Ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members.Ability to travel 50% of the timeBenefitsCompany vehicle, cell phone, laptopTravel expenses are covered by the companyCompany credit cardTrave Per-diemOvertime availabilityMedical insurancePrescription insurance401k PlanESPPPaid Time OffPaid Holidays and more
