Senior Android Developer

Position: Senior Android DeveloperExperience Level: 6-8 YearsLocations: Pittsburgh, PA or Dallas, Birmingham or Phoenix – HybridRole Overview & Key Responsibilities:• Design, develop, enhance, and maintain scalable, secure native Android applications to support digital transformation initiatives.• Collaborate closely with Product Owners, UX/UI Designers, Quality Engineering, and Backend Development teams in an Agile/Scrum environment.• Translate business requirements into clean, user-friendly mobile features using MVVM architecture, Kotlin, Jetpack components, and Coroutines.• Integrate RESTful APIs and enterprise backend services while managing local data storage using Room Database and SQLite.• Conduct peer code reviews, champion coding best practices, enforce mobile security standards, and troubleshoot application defects.• Drive mobile performance optimization, memory leak resolution, and continuous technical debt reduction.• Support release management processes, CI/CD pipelines, and application publishing to the Google Play Store.Required Qualifications & Skills:• 6 to 8 years of dedicated hands-on experience in native Android Application Development.• Expert-level proficiency in Kotlin, Android SDK, Android Studio, and advanced mobile application debugging.• Strong working knowledge of Java for legacy codebase support and maintenance.• Advanced experience with Jetpack Components, MVVM Architecture Pattern, Kotlin Coroutines, and Dependency Injection (Hilt or Dagger).• Advanced skills in REST API integration, JSON processing, Room Database, Git version control, and Material Design guidelines.• Demonstrated experience with Unit Testing, Integration Testing, mobile security best practices, and Google Play Store deployments.• Strong communication, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
