Ensure that safety is always the number one priority at Alexandria Industries; promote and support a safe work environment and safety oriented culture by following all safety programs and guidelines Exhibit active leadership in order to model and support the company's vision and strategies Continuously build relationships throughout the department and company in order to best serve and support co-workers and employees Ensure the department has the tools and resources to keep other departments informed of any delays or changes in scheduled arrival times of products required by the department Provide leadership to department team members: Communicate priorities and project assignments Develop and implement adequate cross-training Provide continuing education, training and development opportunities Provide coaching to employees to support their grow within their position and the company Ensure expectations and responsibilities are known and followed Monitor employee performance and assist with employee performance reviews Delegate special projects Participate in the interviewing and selection process for department openings as needed Identify and implement methods for reducing costs and expenses relating to supplies and packing material in the department Review and analyze department data and trends to make continuous improvement recommendations Apply continuous improvement techniques to improve department operationsAccurately and efficiently fulfill customer orders:Packing/Trailer Loading- Review manufacturing orders in order to verify internal and external customer specifications - Ensure all quality practices are being followed - Perform inspections of aluminum extrusion orders after the material has exited the age oven - Check the hardness and temper of each alloy - Package orders based on customer specifications (customer pack prints) - Load trailers based on customer specifications (customer pack prints) - Meet delivery schedules to ensure customer service and satisfactionFabrication- Set up and run cutting equipment in order to make modifications to aluminum parts - Inspect the parts as required to ensure the parts meet customer quality specifications - Ensure proper deburring, in order to guarantee that no burrs or sharp edges are on any parts - Inspect the parts to ensure that no nylon residue is left on the parts after running through the equipmentMinimum Qualifications1. Education: - High school diploma or equivalent degree 2. Experience: - 1+ years of manufacturing experience preferred - 2+ years of leadership experience required 3.
