Shipping Clerk The Shipping Clerk is responsible for performing a range of administrative and clerical duties, including processing shipping documentation, printing pick tickets and labels, and maintaining accurate data entry. This role serves as a key point of contact for customer inquiries via phone and supports truck drivers by coordinating and assisting with pickup procedures. The Shipping Clerk reports directly to the Shipping Office Supervisor.Essential Job Functions: Execute a broad range of clerical and administrative functions, including the preparation and printing of pick tickets and labels. Processes bills of ladingsCoordinate and maintain daily outbound shipping schedules, ensuring all shipments are processed on time, information is accurate, and records are consistently kept up to date.Accurately process bills of lading in accordance with company and regulatory requirements.Coordinate with transportation personnel by directing truck drivers to designated loading docks for product pickup.Manage driver check-in and check-out procedures, ensuring all required documentation, including bills of lading, is properly completed and signed.Provide a high standard of customer service by demonstrating professionalism, respect, and responsiveness in all interactions.Monitors work processes and ensure that any exceptions or deviations from standard operating procedures are promptly escalated to the supervisor for review and resolution.Uphold and promote AWC's mission, vision, and values while ensuring full compliance with company policies, procedures, and ethical standards.Minimum Qualifications Required: Education: High School Diploma or equivalent is requiredExperience: 1 -3 years of previous experience is requiredSkills:Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills.Exhibit a high level of attention to detail, with the ability to effectively multitask and solve problems in a fast-paced environment.Possess excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.Maintain strong computer proficiency, including accurate and efficient data entry capabilities.Physical Description: Typical Working Conditions: (Describe environment including exposure to heat, cold, fumes, chemicals, allergens, mold, etc.)Must be comfortable transitioning between a controlled office environment and a manufacturing warehouse setting, with the ability to adapt to varying conditions, support hands-on operations, and consistently follow safety protocols.Equipment Used: (List all manual and automated equipment used in the course of performing essential functions.)Utilizes computers, keyboards, mice, telephones, and other necessary office equipment to support daily operations and ensure efficient workflow.Essential Physical Tasks: (List all physical tasks encountered in performing essential functions.)Must be able to perform continuous data entry and keyboarding tasks for extended periods while maintaining accuracy and productivity.
