FP&A Consultant
FP&A Consultant — (Remote)DSI Consulting Group is hiring an FP&A Consultant to join our growing practice. This is a full-time, US-based remote role for someone early in their finance career who's drawn to the human side of the work — the questions, the conversations, the figuring-out — as much as the numbers. We're a boutique technology consulting firm. Our clients are enterprise finance teams trying to modernize how they plan, forecast, and run their close. What this role is really aboutMost FP&A roles want someone who can build a model. We want someone who can sit across from a controller, listen to them describe their close process, and realize the real bottleneck isn't the spreadsheet — it's that nobody trusts the data coming out of the regional finance team, and nobody wants to say so out loud. That kind of insight doesn't come from technical skill. It comes from being genuinely curious about how people work, how decisions actually get made, and what's not being said in the room. We're looking for someone who:•Instinctively peels the onion — asks the second question, then the third•Listens for what clients don't say as much as what they do•Is comfortable in ambiguity and doesn't rush to a solution•Can respectfully push back on a senior stakeholder and make them glad you did•Has the polish to hold your own in a room with CFOs and finance VPsWhat you'll do•Partner with client finance teams on planning, forecasting, and process work•Run discovery conversations to uncover what's really going on•Help design solutions that fit the actual problem — sometimes a model, sometimes a process change, sometimes a smarter workflow•Learn modern finance tools and approaches alongside the principals•Translate between finance stakeholders and technical detailWhat we're looking for•0-3 years of experience in FP&A, finance, accounting, consulting, or a related field•A background that's trained you to think about people and systems — finance, accounting, economics, psychology, behavioral science, organizational behavior, or similar•Strong Excel and financial modeling fundamentals•Genuine curiosity about how businesses actually work•Excellent written and spoken English•Openness to learning new tools and approaches — you don't need to come in with a tech stack, you need to want to grow oneBonus, not required•Exposure to Anaplan, Workday Adaptive, or other planning tools•Prior consulting experience•Familiarity with modern automation or analytical toolsWhy DSI•Real client exposure from week one — not buried in training•Direct mentorship from the firm's principals•A growing practice where you can shape your path•Work that ships, not slides that sitLocation & eligibility•US-based, fully remote•Must be authorized to work in the US (no visa sponsorship at this time)
