School Behavior Specialist - Fremont, CA

Job Description Must have completed Behavior Specialist / ABA Therapy training and have a minimum 1+ years Behavior Therapy experience. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.This opportunity seeks two Registered Behavior Technicians (RBT) for full-time, contract positions within a school district near Union City, CA. The roles focus on supporting students with behavioral needs in general education classrooms, emphasizing relationship-building and tailored behavioral interventions.Key Responsibilities:Provide one-on-one behavioral support to students in inclusive general education settings.Implement behavior intervention plans targeting specific behavioral challenges including escape-maintained behaviors and mild behavior support needs.Foster positive relationships and rapport with students to promote engagement and address behavioral escalations.Support classroom routines, task completion, and participation in educational activities.Collaborate with special education staff and oversee BCBA guidance (pending confirmation of BCBA supervision).Comply with district onboarding processes including fingerprinting and orientation requirements.Qualifications and Experience:Active Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) credential is required.Experience working with children exhibiting challenging behaviors in educational settings preferred.Strong communication skills to effectively engage with students, staff, and families.Familiarity with behavior intervention strategies and data collection.Candidates who are already credentialed and able to start promptly preferred.Location:Positions are based in school settings near Union City, California.District spring break scheduled from April 6 to April 10.Benefits:Full-time hours (30-32 hours per week) through the end of the school year contract.Opportunity to work closely with bright students and contribute positively to their educational experience.Qualified candidates interested in supporting behavioral interventions in dynamic classroom environments are encouraged to apply.
