We are seeking an experienced Precision Grinder to join our growing team. Position Summary The Precision Grinder is responsible for setting up and operating surface, cylindrical, and jig grinding equipment to manufacture precision components that meet exact customer specifications and tight tolerances. This position is intended for experienced manufacturing professionals who can work independently, perform multiple setups, and consistently produce high-quality work in a precision machining environment. Compensation will be determined based on experience, technical skill level, and overall fit for the role. Key Responsibilities Precision Grinding Set up and operate surface, cylindrical, and jig grinding equipment. Produce precision components to blueprint specifications and required tolerances. Perform multiple setups while maintaining dimensional accuracy and surface finish requirements. Monitor part quality throughout production and make machine adjustments as needed. Blueprint Reading & Inspection Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and manufacturing specifications. Utilize precision measuring instruments including micrometers, calipers, indicators, and gauges. Verify finished components meet customer requirements and GD&T specifications. Manufacturing Support Troubleshoot machining and grinding issues. Collaborate with Production, Quality, and Project Management personnel to resolve manufacturing challenges. Support continuous improvement and maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Qualifications Required Experience operating surface, cylindrical, or jig grinding equipment (5+ years preferred). Ability to read and interpret blueprints and manufacturing drawings. Experience using precision measuring equipment. Ability to perform multiple setups and consistently hold tight tolerances. Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills. Commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement. Preferred Experience with surface, cylindrical, and/or jig grinding. Job shop manufacturing experience. Familiarity with GD&T and precision inspection practices.
