FP&A Manager – Multifamily Real EstateLocation: New York, NY Industry: Real EstateCompensation: $150,000 – $175,000 base + benefitsAbout the OpportunityA growing multifamily real estate platform is seeking a Senior Manager of Accounting & FP&A to take ownership of financial planning, analysis, and accounting operations across its U.S. portfolio.This is a high-impact role with direct exposure to senior leadership, offering the opportunity to influence financial performance, improve reporting, and support strategic decision-making across the business.The RoleThe Senior Manager, Accounting & FP&A will lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis while overseeing core accounting processes and team development. This individual will partner closely with senior management, asset management, and operations to deliver clear financial insights and drive portfolio performance.Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)Lead the annual budgeting process and ongoing forecasting across the portfolioBuild and maintain financial models to support strategic planning and investment decisionsAnalyze key real estate metrics including NOI, cash flow, ROI, and operating marginsPartner with operations teams to evaluate performance, identify risks, and drive margin improvementPresent clear financial insights, trends, and recommendations to senior managementSupport capital planning and CapEx initiatives, including underwriting and return analysisCross-Functional & Strategic SupportAct as a key finance partner to senior managementProvide financial guidance on budgeting, cost control, and performance optimizationSupport the development of financial systems and reporting toolsHelp build scalable finance processes to support growthLead ad hoc analysis and strategic projects as requiredCandidate ProfileBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field10+ years of experience across accounting and FP&A, ideally within real estateProven experience managing accounting teams and overseeing the close processStrong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controlsExperience partnering directly with senior leadership on financial performance and strategyAdvanced Excel skills and experience with ERP/accounting systemsPreferred ExperienceMultifamily or broader real estate experienceExperience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial modelingExposure to portfolio-level financial oversightNext StepsFor more information, contact Kenton at HireIQ.
