OverviewOur ENERCON Federal Services team is seeking a Drafter/Designer to join the team. By collaborating with engineers, mentoring others, and ensuring the highest standards of quality, you play a crucial part in delivering impactful solutions that drive success and safety across projects.Design & Drafting: Prepare accurate layout and detail drawings of parts, assemblies, and related items on non-routine assignments of substantial variety and complexity. Prepare design drawings, including piping isometrics, single line drawings, P&ID’s, and pipe support drawings. Conduct self-checks of created drawings, sketches, and related data to proactively identify factors that may negatively affect final product. Work independently of engineers but confer with engineers and other designers for design concept interpretationCollaboration & Support: Support engineers with any changes to drawings. Review the work of other designers/drafters and provide mentoring and leadershipCompliance & Performance: Understand and follow all organizational, area/departmental, and client procedures, safety policies, and directives. Meet applied time goals set for position/discipline QualificationsAssociate’s Degree with minimum 6 years of experience or Bachelor’s Degree in related field with minimum 5 years of design experience Work with the engineering team in the development of 2D designs and orthographic drawings, piping isometrics, and detailed drawingsDevelop piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&ID), process flow diagrams (PFD), HVAC system design\layouts, facility layouts and Civil, Electrical & Instrumentation (CE&I) system diagramsKnowledge in the practices of an engineering discipline; competent in the fundamental concepts of other disciplines as they relate to the assigned disciplineSelect hardware and materials as required by the project, with guidance from engineersExcellent written and verbal communication skillsKnowledge of codes, standards, criteria, and design execution pertinent to various aspects of designAbility to travel for short trips to get badged (on an as needed basis)Work in a multidisciplinary teamDevelop and maintain red-line documents (ECN’s, FCN’s etc.)Perform checking of design documents produced by peers, in accordance with company policies and proceduresAdvanced knowledge of design software, such as AutoCAD or MicroStationMust be a US CitizenSalary RageUSD $65,000.00 - USD $96,000.00 /Yr.Additional InformationENERCON Services, Inc.
