As a therapy professional, you will play a crucial role in helping patients achieve functional improvements and enhance their quality of life in a supportive, patient-focused setting.Position OverviewThe Physical Therapist (PT) delivers direct rehabilitation services in physical therapy to patients referred by physicians, adhering to all relevant laws, regulations, and organizational standards.Education, Experience, and Licensing RequirementsGraduation from an accredited physical therapy program (BSPT, MSPT, or DPT; those graduating in 2003 or later must hold an MSPT or DPT)Current registration/licensure in the applicable state, with an obligation to maintain an active license in good standing throughout employmentPreferred: One (1) year of experience in a post-acute care or similar environmentCPR certification required upon hire or to be obtained during orientation; certification must remain current throughout employmentSpecific Job ResponsibilitiesEngage in community health initiatives/projects as appropriateProficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and email communicationCoordinate with patients, families, and support departments to effectively address patient needsConsistently demonstrate proper body mechanicsMake independent decisions when necessaryFamiliarity with practices, procedures, and regulations governing operations in a post-acute care facilityImplement and interpret departmental programs, goals, objectives, policies, and proceduresExhibit proficiency in all competency areas, including patient rights, safety, and sanitationMaintain professional relationships with colleagues, vendors, and othersEnsure confidentiality of all proprietary and sensitive informationUnderstand and adhere to organizational policies, including those related to harassment and complianceUphold integrity and professionalism by following the organization's Code of Conduct and completing required compliance trainingEssential DutiesImplement physical therapy treatment plans for patientsSet, evaluate, and adjust realistic, measurable, and functional goalsSupervise and assess care provided by PTAs, Rehab Aides, and PT and PTA studentsDocument care accurately and in a timely mannerUtilize therapy software effectively and accuratelyProvide excellent customer service and maintain a positive attitude towards patientsAssist in the safe evacuation of patients when necessaryDemonstrate reliable and consistent attendanceEmploy reasoning skills and sound judgmentCollaborate effectively within an interdisciplinary teamEngage in various physical activities such as sitting, standing, bending, lifting, pushing, pulling, stooping, walking, reaching, and moving intermittently during work hoursRead, write, speak, and comprehend the English languageWe are an Equal Opportunity Employer.
