SummaryThe Warehouse Associate maintains inventory and supplies by receiving, storing, picking and delivering items to production. Associates are also responsible for the general organization of the warehouse.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Inventory ManagementInventory accuracy, control and manage inventoryTwo full physical inventories per yearMonthly Cycle counts Manually receive inventory deliveries, including:Opening and unpacking inventory deliveries, accurate receiving of itemsAssigning part locations and labelingVerifying and recording inventory quantities on the company’s information system, physically moving inventory to the warehouseScanning & filling vendor/receiving paperworkReceive cab & chassis/move around the yardReceive tanks/set tanks on chassis Issue inventory to the shop floor (pick to carts), including:Use I-Pad as picklistIdentifying items to pick from shelf by scanningPull truck/work order with accuracy and in an organized fashionCommunicate inventory issues to Warehouse ManagerIdentifying shortages and expediting fulfillment by contacting materials managerStay ahead of production at least 48 hoursIssue chassis and tanks Maintain an orderly warehouse, including:Proper labeling of inventory shelvesCreating new inventory locations on the company system, as requiredKeeping warehouse organized and in a clean state Shipping inventory to Customers and our Ohio operation, including:Using UPS World Wide Ship for non-freight shipmentPacking items in a manor so they will not get broken during transitQUALIFICATIONS to perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty and/or responsibility satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES include, but are not limited to the following.Must have a working knowledge and understanding of manufacturing warehouse and stock control methods, procedures, equipment and terminology.Must have experience managing and counting inventory.Must have experience using computer software, including warehouse/inventory software, internet and email.Must be able to safely operate a forklift and/or other assigned vehicles and equipment.Must have a working knowledge and understanding of safety requirements and practice them.Must have the ability to work efficiently with all departments, communicating effectively both orally and in writing.Must have good time management, planning, organization and prioritization skills.Must be able to work assigned shift, arriving on time and abiding by all attendance policies.Supervisory ResponsibilitiesThis position has no supervisory responsibilities.TRAVELThis position does not travel.Education And ExperienceHigh School diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience.At least three years of warehouse or related industry work experience.CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONSA valid driver’s license is required.PHYSICAL DEMANDS.
